Either way, we don't take cash or bribes in exchange for good reviews, so you can feel comfortable knowing that if we say we love something, it is an honest opinion. "But what's up with the advertising?" We link to various affiliate programs on the Internet through this site. This means that if you click on another website and buy something from that site, then we get a little bit of $. We don't get any of your info such as what you bought there, or your credit card info, or even the fact that you bought anything...just the cash. This helps us keep this resource online. "But what about the tax revenue and other money that Durham doesn't get because you're linking to online retailers?" Agreed, this is a problem. I usually browse catalogs online and then get so excited about my purchase that I then go to the local store and buy it. However, if you buy something online and we get a percentage of that sale, then we will donate 10% of what we get to a local charity. To be completely up-front, we're not getting a whole lot of $ from our affiliate programs, so this isn't a lot of cash donation at this moment!
